Four places where the error shows
The check takes a minute and saves a long explanation about a different total in a statement already sent to a client.
The control total
If the original had a total, calculate it in the sheet and compare. One number confirms the whole reading or refutes it.
Numbers stored as text
Values aligned to the left are usually text, and no formula will work until that is fixed.
Headings
A merged cell falls apart into the first column. In reports with several heading levels that is a place for manual tidying.
The row count
Compare the number of rows in the sheet and in the original. A difference usually means a name wrapped across two lines.
Where this one runs
